How To Participate
Board the Bus!
In our monthly omnibus surveys, you can "board the bus" by adding questions to a common survey questionnaire. You can submit from 1 question to up to 20 questions per omnibus survey, on a one-time or ongoing basis (with each survey containing a minimum of 20 questions and a maximum of 40 questions).
You only pay for the questions you submit, sharing the survey costs with the other participants. You also retain absolute confidentiality of your research data, as omnibus-survey clients receive only the survey data they request, and their data are not made available to the other survey participants.
To maximize the impact of survey results, survey question design assistance is available from researchers at Gallup, and is included in the price of each question.
The Chronicle/Gallup Panel can readily execute multiple monthly surveys. Higher-education clients can submit questions for monthly omnibus studies on a one-time or ongoing basis. Subsequent measures provide valuable trending data. Questions must be submitted by the 25th of the month in order to be included in the following month's survey.
Monthly Omnibus Survey Process
- Research clients will fill out an electronic registration form notifying The Chronicle/Gallup Panel of their interest to participate in an upcoming omnibus survey.
- Gallup works with research clients to finalize their questionnaire content. Once submitted and approved, no changes can be made without incurring additional costs.
- Final question content and payment must be submitted on or before the 25th day (or the nearest business day before) of the month prior to the month in which the omnibus survey the subscriber has registered for is to field.
- Research clients will receive their deliverables by the end of the following month.
For example, items for a July omnibus survey are due by June 25 (or the nearest business day before that day), and research clients will receive their data set by July 31.
